My Family

The Hills

Charles and I have been married for 22 years.  We met when we were 17 and 24 and although we were just friends for the first couple of years, I always knew we would get married.  I feel like after all these years we are still best friends and even more so as we grow in our faith.  We will run the Surf City 1/2 Marathon on Februaryy 5th...I can't wait!

Charles is the Youth Pastor at our wonderful church, Calvary Chapel Living Word in Irvine, California and although I am very involved int the woman's ministry, the high schoolers have the first spot in my heart.  We consider each one of those kids one of our own and we are so proud of them personally, and spiritually.

We have two practically perfect kids that we couldn't be more proud of.
First there is Ben, who is the most talented, artistic person I know, and also one of the funniest.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Graphic Design and started his own clothing business, Funhouse Clothing Company, (funhouseclothing.com).

Second is Vivienne...we call her the sunshine of our family:)  She is 17 and loves horses, she has been riding since she was 6 and now volunteers weekly at a horse riding clinic for special needs children.  She will leave on January 18th and return to Shepherd's Field to intern in the medical clinic for 6 weeks. (Please pray for us both) Ultimately she wants to become a pediatric nurse, we are so proud of her heart for the Lord and for His children.

And soon will be Henry who just turned 6, January 2nd.  We met him over the summer at Shepherd's Field Children's Village in China.  It wasn't until the day we left that we both felt the call to adopt so strongly, but when we felt it there was no doubt who God meant.  We are waiting....waiting....waiting, so excited to make him part of our family.
